In the Studio

I have a little rescued girl here in the studio right now for a fresh face.  I so love when clients send me a doll and ask me to just do my thing, no perimeters no special requests, they just trust me to create something beautiful for them.  Micah is no exception, she is on her way to being a Beautiful Brown Blythe.  She had been previously slightly customized, not really carved but painted on. She has a dome that had been completely cracked and held together like a mosaic with glue around the outer ridge which holds on the scalp flanges.  She does have a glorious head of mohair locks that really compliments her.   I wanted to give her an expression I have not done before so she has deep expression lines around her mouth, an ample pout, deeper philtrum and  a detailed rounded nasal cavity. I am happy with her progress more photos to come.
